Sea Day 1 of 6

Tuesday, 11 October 2016

Got up and went out on the open deck in anticipation of a sunrise photo op. Unfortunately the haze/fog/smog that has blocked the sunrise for a while was there again. There has been no explanation of this meteorological phenomena.

Met up with Jenny for a quick breakfast then we collected our things for our morning activities. Jenny spends most of the day with a group of ladies in what is termed the "Knitters & Knatters" get together, they meet in the Skywalkers Nightclub on Deck 18. I went off to the theatre to attend the Destination presentation on Dubai, the History lecture on the Vikings and the Astronomy lecture on capturing astronomical objects.

Called into the International Cafe for a Steak and Kidney pie. The portions are not excessive, the food range is limited - makes it easy to decide - but there is inadequate seating, so carried it back to the cabin. Topped off the pie with some fruit brought down from breakfast.

Having a hard time deciding what to aim the camera at. On a sea day the subjects are severely limited and even the sunset is unlikely as that occurs at the same time as the evening meal.

Enjoyed our dinner and then tonight's show in the Theatre is the Instrumentalist Katal. A most amazing artist with his violin who mixed classical and rock in an enthusiastic and energetic performance.

For today's image I dug back to the Suez Canal transit you can view my photo by following this link to the image of the Swing Bridge

Wishing you good health and safe travel.
Have a great day and stay well.
Cheers .. Tony.

Nothing that can be done about a whole heap of that stuff I guess dad. Glad to hear that you're making the most of what I know must be frustrating .

I like Knitters and Knatters - sounds nicer than a stitch and bitch :)
