Fourth Sea Day

Sunday, 2 October 2016

Another day sailing across the Mediterranean with an interesting sunrise to start the day. Routine breakfast followed by a pair of lectures by our two resident experts. Peter again showed a bewildering array of deep space images under the general heading of 'Beyond Our Galaxy'. His wife Evon followed soon after with her topic of Rommel, Montgomery and Patton. Rommel didn't feature much in the European battles and eventually committed suicide to protect his wife and son. Paton and Montgomery battled each other with greater intensity than they did the Enemy. A lot of politics on the battlefield.

A quick lunch, a wander around the ship and a quiet read of the Kindle. Battled the Internet for a while and gave up in frustration. I'm beginning to suspect the delay is in my connection to the on board server from inside the cabin. No doubt the satellite link also slows things down. Will try something different when we're in port tomorrow.

Great dinner, my steak covered 75% of the plate. After the meal I went off to capture the sunset and Jenny reserved me a seat in the Theatre where we were once again treated to an excellent performance by the incredible voice of Phillip Browne. After the show tried again to transfer some money to the Euro account of our Global Currency Card. 10 precious minutes later the connection timed out and I'd achieved nothing. Quickly tossed on some clothes and ducked down to the Internet Cafe. Did the job in less than 4 minutes.

There's no specific photo to point to, if you want to see the latest, view my project by following this link to the main album.

Wishing you good health and safe travel.
Have a great day and stay well.
Cheers .. Tony
