Melbourne Bound - Sea Day One

Thursday, 10 November 2016

A brisk cold breeze greeted me this morning as I wandered the upper decks to find a vantage point for the sunrise. Fortunately the ship's course was not directly in line with the rising sun as the forward superstructure obstructs the view. The forward sections were closed due to the strong wind. From Deck 19 I was able to snap the sunrise on the starboard side.

The usual sea day routine and we did our respective things. After lunch together we met up in the Theatre for a rare afternoon movie. George Clooney and Julia Roberts in "Money Monster". About 5 minutes into the show we both realised we'd seen it before. Decided to stay to the end.

Another lovely meal and back to the cabin for a while before heading to the Theatre for tonight's entertainment. Nathan Foley was described as a 'headliner' in the Patter and we had no idea what to expect. What a blast !! Nathan hit the stage running and didn't slow down for the whole hour. Massive energy, great voice and handy on the piano and guitar as well.

Clocks go forward an hour as we continue to sail Eastward across the Great Australian Bight.

A brightly coloured cloud-bank just on sunrise forms the feature image for today you can view my photo by following this link to the image.

Wishing you good health and safe travel.
Have a great day and stay well.
Cheers .. Tony.
